Economic and social policies of Argentina (1911-1924)
Between late nineteenth century and early twentieth century the notion of social economy was part
of the discussion of social reformers. At the beginning of twentieth century, a group of Argentine
intellectuals and professionals tried to introduce these ideas in society in order to mitigate social
conflict. The foundation in 1911 of the Argentine Social Museum, promoter of mutualism and Cooperatives,
was part of that movement, that the article analyzes.
